Where are you right now? Not like in your house or in your office. But, where are you in your life at this moment? Are you overwhelmed because your littlest won’t nap and laundry needs to be done? Maybe you are working late hours fulfilling responsibilities only to see your family in time to kiss them good night? Are you single, hoping and longing for that someone to make you feel whole? Do you sometimes wonder, what am I doing here, in this place?

I am talking to you, all of you, in all your places in life. YOU are made for exactly where you are. You were “knit together” to meet this place. “You are God’s handiwork” created for His purpose. Sometimes you may question why God would put you here, in this room, to wipe that nose, or to give this bath, or to pass this test, or to work those hours, or even to suffer this pain.

You are here for the mission. You were created to share his love. “Go,” He said as he left this earth, “and make disciples of all nations.” “Proclaim the good news.” Your purpose here, in this place right now, is to proclaim Him with each life that you meet, each bottle you prepare, each hour that you work, each tear you may shed; to meet each day and obstacle filled with his grace seeking to share it with others.

Fill yourself up with Jesus, so that you spill over with his love. Ask him what he has “prepared in advance for you” today. How can he use you today in this place for the purpose that will fill you with so much joy you can’t wait to give it away.

Ephesians 2:8-10

For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.
